The ideal Manufacturing/Process Engineer will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles, with a focus on enhancing product quality and reducing production costs. You will be responsible for optimizing and improving manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production workflows, and implementing cost-saving measures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies, develop solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal Manufacturing/Process Engineer will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and learn manufacturing principles, with a focus on enhancing product quality and reducing production costs.

Objectives:

  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
  • Uphold the company’s reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to local and regulations.
  • Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians.
  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification.
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
  • Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
  • Develop the best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Perform process simulations.
  • Manage cost and time constraints.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Manage advances robotics to improve capacity, quality and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for preventing waste and inefficiency during production.
  • Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
  • Design and develop robust manufacturing concepts to simplify and improve processes and ensure best practices.
  • Create and maintain required documentation for manufacturing processes, including flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
  • Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing.
  • Establishing safety procedures for individuals.
  • Designing and planning equipment layout.
  • Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production.
  • Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.
