Our client, a leading precision manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to oversee the entire manufacturing process from start to finish. This role involves quoting, developing manufacturing methods, ensuring quality, verifying delivery, and analyzing process efficiency.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will collaborate with programmers and machinists to develop efficient and repeatable manufacturing plans. The role requires CAD proficiency to analyze customer designs, provide feedback, and develop in-house fixturing designs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and write manufacturing processes using appropriate software
  • Partner with CNC Machinists to manufacture specialty parts, adjust blueprints, and create a structured process sequence
  • Conduct feasibility reviews for production efficiency and process improvements
  • Write inspection processes for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods
  • Establish inventory requirements for job-specific material types and quantities
  • Ensure on-time delivery of quality products by monitoring and optimizing production processes
  • Review lead times for tooling, fixturing, gaging, machine availability, and outside processes—communicating any issues with scheduling or sales teams
  • Order, design, and select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and gages
  • Research, select, and verify sub-contractor pricing for quoting purposes
  • Perform post-review analysis to ensure profitability was achieved on completed projects
  • Improve process capabilities to increase production volume while maintaining quality standards
  • Communicate quality issues, scrap rates, and production concerns to relevant personnel
  • Ensure compliance with medical/aerospace product requirements, including configuration management and document control
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Process, Product, or Manufacturing Engineer ()
  • 3+ years of experience in CNC machining and related manufacturing processes ()
  • 3+ years of experience using CAD software ()
  • Strong proficiency with metrology tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and vision systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (including GD&T features such as true position and profile of a surface)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or engineering degree
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing efficiency, tooling selection, and process optimization
  • Experience working in a shop environment, with continuous exposure to metalworking machinery, loud noises, and industrial materials

Compensation & Benefits Package

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
