Manufacturing Quality Technician

We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Technician to join our team! You will conduct tests to determine the quality of materials and finished products as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency. 

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate or participate in MRB (Material Review Board) as a Quality Department Representative
• Interpret blueprints and drawings with a limited understanding of GD&T
• Inspect material in accordance with material design requirements using basic inspection tools and measurement equipment (Calipers, micrometers, indicator, durometer, coating thickness etc.)
• Process Nonconforming material in accordance with company procedures for NCR
• Assist in documenting, investigating, and implementing CAR (Corrective Action) and SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action).
• Prepare documents such as Quality Alert, Supplier Notification, Inspection Reports, Test Reports,  Process Performance Metrics
• Participate in ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditing
• Submit ECR to support manufacturing and inspection needs
• Assist in the management of calibrated inspection equipment
• Facilitate or participate in coordination of quarterly vRMA program

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical field or 5+ years equivalent work experience in related field.
• Proficient in use of measuring instruments (Coating Thickness, Durometer, Caliper, Micrometer, Indicators etc.)
• Possess problem solving skills, an understanding of statistical concepts and the ability to interpret technical data
• Moderate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently OR as a member of a team with limited supervision.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information within department and cross functionally

Qualifications:

• Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Certified
• Certified ISO 9001:2015 Auditor
• Proficient in NetSuite (ERP)
• Advanced Print Reading and GD&T
• Experience working in regulated industry or to / International Standards
