Buyer II:

· It requires purchasing experience of raw materials and a strong understanding of fabrication and ERP usage. It is hoped that this person will be able to transition into our Senior Buyer II position.
Buyer II:
Responsibilities:
Responsible for purchasing material within market price.
· Responsible for replenishing material using a technique to ensure an uninterrupted supply.
· Responsible for procuring within their designated authority levels.
· Responsible for performing procurement activities within the Quality System guidelines.
· Responsible for supporting & driving inventory goals while preventing backorders.
· Responsible for data entry and maintenance in ERP system with high degree of accuracy.
· Set-up, implement and management material replenishment systems (Kanbans, Min/Max, ROP).
· Research and implement cost saving activities within the supply chain.
· Interface with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing and vendor payment issues.
· Coordinate materials outsourced for secondary processes.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist in the annual physical inventory and standard cost roll process.
· Processes purchase requisitions and requests for quotes when needed.
· May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
Buyer II Requirements:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree . Bachelor’s degree plus one year purchasing experience; Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school with 3 years of purchasing experience; or 7+ years of purchasing experience with no degree (HS diploma or GED required).
ISM (C.P.M. or CPSM) or APICS (CPIM) but not required.
Membership in ISM, APICS or similar association highly recommended.
