In our Materials Coordinator role, you'll be focused on obtaining, maintaining, and receiving the materials and parts needed to keep our operations running smoothly, and owning the processes & procedures related to purchasing & warehousing.

What You Do

As a hygiene expert at Meritech, you’ll manage inventory levels according to procedures, develop & maintain positive relationships with our suppliers, and ensure our warehouse is well-organized, safe, and properly inventoried. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor proper storage and retrieval of numerous parts, durable goods, and consumables to maintain accurate inventory and orderly work environment.
  • Run daily Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) reports. 
  • Write and submit Purchase Orders to suppliers and vendors for all raw materials. 
  • Liaise with Production team to determine purchasing needs. 
  • Follow-up with vendors & suppliers on order status and progress via phone/email. 
  • Manage daily cycle count processes to optimize inventory accuracy. 
  • Maintain detailed purchasing tracking log and update daily.
  • Perform warehouse walk-throughs to create and maintain records of low inventory and cycle counting.
  • Manage material flow throughout each shift.
  • Prepare and maintain records of materials locations, organization, and other pertinent information.
  • Other duties as assigned to improve material flow, space utilization, inventory accuracy and support the operational team in its daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.


Physical Requirements

  • Frequently: Prolonged periods of standing and walking around a manufacturing shop. 
  • Frequently: Prolonged periods of standing and sitting while performing repetitive tasks. 
  • Frequently: Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to evaluate parts and materials. 
  • Frequently: Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components. 
  • Frequently: Stretch, squat, and reach to store products 
  • Frequently: Bend, lean, crouch, sit, and kneel to store products. 
  • Frequently: Carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds at a time.
