Materials Planner

SUMMARY:
Materials Planner is be responsible for inbound and outbound scheduling, daily production planning and coordination of engineering part changes. This includes, but is not limited to coordination of cycle counts, supplier maintenance in ERP / MRP system, responding to customer demand inquiries and maintenance of records in the customer database.
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for inbound and outbound scheduling of raw components and finished goods, production scheduling and part change coordination.
- Inbound scheduling utilizing an ERP/ MRP system.
- Responsible for verifying schedules and shipments with suppliers and tracking of materials to the assembly plant.
- Review and maintenance of PFEP (Plan for Every Part)
- Responsible for SRM, Samsung SDI web based EDI. Understand ASN, and barcode transmission through the system
- Responsible for receiving the shipment with the valid pallet label and small label. Correct/Coach supplier with any label issues
- First line responsible for resolution of planning / scheduling issues.
- Responsible for coordinating physical inventory of raw components.
- Responsible for coordinating cycle counts and inventory counts, including inventory at supplier and in-transit inventory
- ERP / MRP system / supplier maintenance.
- System / supplier set up and management of supplier releases.
- Review of customer requirements and scheduling daily production and communicating to the production floor.
- Responsible for coordination of engineering part changes / Change Management Coordination
- Outbound scheduling: Responsible for verifying customer schedules and communicating ship schedules and quantities to the production floor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of materials planning experience using an ERP / MRP system.
- Working Knowledge and Implementation of ERP / MRP system
- Working Knowledge of part change management within a logistics organization.
