Exciting Temp Opportunity in Aerospace/Defense—Production Control Planner (LOA Coverage)

Location: North Hollywood, CA Shift: 1st Shift Pay Rate: $30-$36/hr Assignment Type: Temporary (LOA Coverage)

Ready to make an impact in the aerospace and defense industry? We’re searching for an experienced Production Control Planner to take charge of backlog management and ensure smooth material flow from order entry through shipment.

Position Summary: You'll play a pivotal role in coordinating orders and keeping production schedules on track while collaborating with multiple departments to proactively identify and solve problems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Contracts to monitor sales backlog and ensure timely kitting, inspection, and shipping.

  • Coordinate material handling and prioritize activities to meet production schedules.

  • Expedite orders and manage changes, reschedules, and outside processing to achieve production goals.

  • Leverage your expertise in manufacturing processes to ensure schedules are met.

  • Review and act on MRP order messages, issue purchase/work orders, and negotiate pricing and deliveries to meet schedules.

  • Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with on-time delivery of quality products.

Qualifications You’ll Need to Excel:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (required).

  • Experience:

    • 2–4 years in Planning.

    • 5+ years in production control/materials management in an aerospace/defense environment.

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (JDE , SAP desirable).

    • Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
