Job Summary Description:

The Materials Technical Sales Manager will have responsibility for developing new business opportunities and executing the sales strategy of the PURIS Materials Business. The Materials Technical Sales Manager also works closely with Materials senior management to provide key technical support to customers and R&D activities, drive innovation and continuous improvement, and assist with other diverse initiatives supporting the company’s operations.


Essential Job Accountabilities:

  • Develop new business by identifying and securing opportunities with prospective and current customers.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers regarding product selection, application, and installation through on-site visits and remote methods.
  • Resolve customer issues by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations.
  • Share technical content and interact with customers, engineering consultants, and system owners at meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Attend selected CIPP installations by customers to offer technical guidance and ensure manufacturer recommendations and industry standards are followed.
  • Lead or assist with sales forecasts, budgets, and other sales activities.
  • Collect information about market participants and conditions to maintain a thorough market understanding and facilitate the development of sales strategies.
  • Lead product research and development activities, including:
  • Collect and provide voice of the customer feedback to assist with decisions regarding product innovations and improvements.
  • Perform simulated installations and assist with field installations to assess product performance and collect samples for physical property testing.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree ()
  • Previous cured-in-place pipe industry experience, preferably including field installation, is required.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all business units.
