Salary: Dependent on Experience
Job Purpose: Responsible for the commercial management of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare subcontract documents, including bills of quantities.
* Review contract conditions and report concerns to the Projects Director.
* Procure subcontractors and materials, including payments.
* Coordinate site staff and subcontractors.
* Manage costs and undertake cost value analysis/reporting.
* Identify and manage commercial risks.
* Price variations and agree with clients.
* Compile project budgets and cost-to-complete estimates.
* Value works in progress and agree on final accounts.
* Provide commercial advice to the operational team.
* Ensure compliance with JCT and NEC 4 contracts.
* Liaise with accounts and prepare O&M manuals.
* Promote and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Essential: Quantity Surveying qualification (preferably RIC), 5+ years of experience in M&E QS roles.
* Desirable: Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Strong knowledge of construction contract law and financial regulatory controls.
* Experience advising on financial aspects of construction.
* Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and Project.
* Ability to inspect construction sites, including climbing ladders/scaffolding.
* Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
