Scaletta Armoring, an automotive remanufacturer located in Bedford Park, IL has an immediate need for a Mechanic/Electrician. We offer the following:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Installing aftermarket electronics on GM vehicles.
· Installing, replacing and/or repairing OEM electronic components on GM vehicles.
· Troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems on GM vehicles.
· Calibrating, programming, and tuning GM vehicles.
Required Experience, Skills & Abilities:
· Experience performing diagnostics and repairs on MY2021 and newer Chevrolet Suburban’s, GMC Yukon’s or similar GM vehicles.
· Experience with GM GDS2 for vehicle diagnostics.
· Experience with Tech Line Connect SPS2 for programming vehicles.
· Knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems and electronic components of vehicles.
· Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
· Must understand industry best practices for engine work, including specialized tools and cleanliness.
· 1 to 3 years’ experience inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic systems.
· Knowledge of reading wiring diagrams
skills:
· Valid ASE certification
· Welding skills/experience
· Associates degree, certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship
