Job description
We’re looking for an A-Level Powersports/Marine Technician/Mechanic. While powersports and or marine expertise is a plus, we value the mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills that technicians from other fields can bring to our service department.
Applicants will be primarily working on the following brands:
- Mercury / Mercrusier
- Yamaha
- Evinrude
- Polaris
- Ski doo / Sea doo
- Yamaha
- Can Am
Responsibilities include:
- Performing diagnostics and repairs of all types of power sport and marine engines and drives
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Repairing and troubleshooting power sport and marine electrical systems
- De-winterize and winterize boats and personal water craft
- Ability to tow trailers, launch and load boats
- Maintain a clean working environment and keep customer units clean after work
- Safely operate company and customer units during diagnostic testing operations
The right candidate:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have automotive and/or marine engine repair experience
- Formal marine mechanic training is
- Previous experience in a similar role is
- Will have certifications, but not required.
- Will have the ability to meet deadlines and have good time management skills
- Mechanical skills and the ability to use a wide variety of tools and techniques
- Personal tools are required, company has specialty tools and manufacturer specific tools
- Must be high energy and take pride in quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Driver’s license is required
