Reference Number: Mechanical Contracts AdministratorLocation: Toronto, Canada Salary : $-$Sector: Construction and Engineering Shackleton Duke Ltd are happy to announce that we are working with a leading M&E consultancy based in Ontario with offices throughout Canada.Together we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Contracts Administrator to add to the team in Toronto.Job Description:A consulting engineering firm, founded over years ago, providing mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and communications design on a fascinating variety of commercial and institutional buildings, new and renovated. They are currently seeking a Contract Administrator specializing in mechanical building services. The Contract Administrator will work with the Project Manager and independently depending on project scope.Qualifications: Possess or more years of Canadian experience in the field of mechanical building servicesHave excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a well-developed problem solving, time management and organizational skill set that ensures success.A with equivalent experience and abilities will be consideredDemonstrate a strong desire for advancement and professional developmentDemonstrate the ability to work in complex environment often driven by project deadlinesBe familiar with various HVAC, plumbing systems and develop layout of pipe and duct runs in co-ordination with the structure, electrical and architectural componentsThe amount of experience would adjust the level of responsibility of the successful candidate’s position Responsibilities: Performing specific tasks assigned by Principal or Project Manager in defined timeParticipate in the development and revisions to the Construction Administrative Documents.Review contract design package. Search for errors and omissions within the contract documents.Be fully aware of project specific issues, including technical and construction-related issuesEnsure that sufficient data is obtained through the life of the contract to substantiate contractor’s progress and final payment certificates. Review and process all contractor payment certificates.Ensure that contractor’s work is completed according to plans, standards and specifications prior to approving work and progress payments.Establish and maintain effective relationships with contractors.Able to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity at the same time.Able to work in a stand-alone capacity.Participate within the Mechanical Conclave process and educate the designers with real life examples of installation practices.Continue the education process with the designers by coordinating site visits to educate them in the Construction Contract Administration Process.Aid in problem solving of issues within projects administrated by Designers and Engineers.Any other tasks assigned by Principals or Project Managers required to assist in the success of the firm Share This Job Vacancy Related
