Our client is a well-established and innovative engineering company based in Glasgow. They are a leading distributor of cutting-edge automated machines in Europe. The company provides high-quality solutions to various industries, and they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in our client's innovative projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform analysis and simulations, and provide essential technical support throughout the product lifecycle.

The Role

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks.
• Conduct analysis and simulations using FEA and Simulink to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for product design and development.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for fabrication and assembly.
• Utilize MATLAB, LabView, and other software tools for system design and testing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure effective implementation of designs.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the product lifecycle.

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Experience with FEA analysis and Simulink modeling.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with CNC machining and fabrication techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
