The Mechanical Design Engineer is a multi-faceted position with a consulting engineering firm, from conceptual design to detailed manufacturing drawings, supporting field service work and generating equipment documentation. The Design Engineer gets involved in R&D, prototyping, analysis, applications engineering support as well as interfacing directly with customers.

Properly formatted for heavy industrial applications – biomass/ cogen facilities, paper mills etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure design fit, interference, and function
• Develop client interaction skills
• Utilize basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Perform assignments quickly and accurately
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Thoroughly check all work performed
• Adhere to company engineering policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (Rivet helpful)
• Understanding of generic details and their applications
• Demonstrated accuracy and quality in work
