The role offers a varied workload, including the design of complex products, and the chance to collaborate across departments. You will be encouraged to work autonomously, taking ownership of projects while receiving support from a highly experienced team.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Design and develop mechanical systems and large-scale processing equipment using 3D CAD software.\n\n * Produce engineering calculations to validate designs (e.g., beam deflection using FEA).\n\n * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success from concept to completion.\n\n * Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry innovations.\n\n * Occasionally participate in site visits and installations, with opportunities for overseas travel.\n\nEssential Skills & Experience:\n\n * Proficiency in CAD software (minimum 3 years ): Inventor, Vault, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge.\n\n * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (HNC, etc.).\n\n * Strong communication and interpersonal skills—confident, outgoing, and a team player.\n\n * Ability to work independently, demonstrating motivation and a proactive attitude.\n\n * Eagerness to learn and grow within the company, with a long-term vision for development.\n\nDesirable Skills:\n\n * Experience with mechanical design related to steel structures, fabrications, conveyors, material handling, or large machinery.\n\n * Knowledge of transmission equipment including linear slides, motor gear units, ball screws, screw jacks, would be beneficial.\n\n * Knowledge of hydraulics, Pneumatics or pumps would also be useful, but not essential.\n\n * Proficiency with FEA for CAD analysis.\n\nWhat’s in It for You?\n\n * Work Hours: 39-hour week with flexible working times and early Friday finishes.\n\n * Benefits: Paid overtime, People’s Pension, 25 days holiday.\n\n * Career Growth: Clear pathways for progression, professional development, and the chance to take on increasing responsibilities.\n\n * Training: For the right candidate additional training and support for Career progression will be offered, where required.\n\n * Company Culture: Low staff turnover, a supportive team environment, and regular team-building activities.\n\n * Exciting Work: Diverse, interesting projects—no two days are the same!\n\n * Global Exposure: Opportunities for overseas travel when required.\n\nWhy?\nThis role offers the chance to be part of a forward-thinking company that values its people.
