Industrial Designer - Medical Devices\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking an Industrial Designer to contribute to the development of new products and enhancements to existing solutions within our laparoscopic visualisation platform. This role involves both creative problem-solving and technical development, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nGenerate innovative, high-level design concepts to tackle complex challenges.\nDevelop rapid prototypes (in-house where feasible).\nConduct hands-on testing to evaluate design performance.\nAdvance designs from initial concepts to fully developed products.\nPrepare technical reports for regulatory documentation.\nPlan and manage individual project timelines, contributing to R&D strategy.\nCollaborate with management on intellectual property development.\nWork alongside corporate partners, as directed by executive leadership. \n\nCandidate Requirements\n\nEligibility:\n\nApplicants must be EU or hold permanent UK .\n\nEssential Criteria:\n\nA first-class or upper second-class degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering, or biomedical engineering.\nProven creative problem-solving skills.\nAt least two years' experience in medical device design, working within an ISO13485-compliant environment, including experience with design control and verification & validation documentation.\n\nDesirable Skills & Experience:\n\nAdvanced CAD/CAM proficiency (SolidWorks ).\nHands-on experience with physical prototyping and development testing.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints.\nExperience in moulded component design, ideally with basic mould flow analysis.\nStrong project planning and time management skills.\nExcellent presentation and communication abilities, particularly in conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.\nQuick to learn new skills with minimal supervision.\nStrong technical report writing and proficiency in MS Office.\nBasic understanding of clinical and biomedical engineering.\nFluent in English
