Mechanical Designer

Our firm is a leading firm in the field of commercial HVAC design, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Mechanical Designer Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated attitude with a strong desire to excel in the industry.

Mechanical Designer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Attend kick-off meetings with local architects.
• Conduct site visits in the local area to gather relevant project information.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their specific requirements and expectations.
• Collaborate with project teams to coordinate schedules and deliverables.
• Conduct necessary calculations and appropriately size equipment for projects.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
• Produce comprehensive and accurate HVAC construction documents.
• Develop project plan or book specifications as required.
• Address permitting comments and requirements in a timely manner.
• Respond to construction administrative tasks, including RFIs and equipment submittal reviews.
