Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, analysis and development of parts & assemblies for Capital equipment/Semiconductor Systems (WFE) and its configuration. Develop concept to detailed design and execute Projects in Mechanical Structures, Thermal & Fluid delivery systems focused on Engineering design optimization for Cost. Identification of material cost reduction opportunity by BOM Analysis or Product and CAD Tear down; reporting out with Cost driver and functional analysis. End to End Project responsibilities exceeding cost targets while executing different phases of VAVE from project opportunity creation to Engineering execution, and completion with BOM cut-in Work closely with CFTs and suppliers to evaluate design or manufacturing constraints upfront in engineering development. Develop engineering proposals with alternate cost-effective solutions in the areas of design modularity, alternate manufacturing processes or material selection Validates design using simulation or prototype tests, hand calculations and Lam standard Design practices with BKM Practices and BKM Write-ups Drive technical review meetings and PDR Phased executions Analyze assemblies and sub systems for interference and tolerance stack up calculations Define and develop engineering requirement specifications for sub-assemblies / sub-systems Release engineering drawings, documentations & BOM using Engineering Change Management process completing PLM/Teamcenter based-activities Ensure documentation is consistent with SEMI, Lam Standards and other standards as applicable (ANSI, DIN etc.) Minimum Qualifications B.E/B.Tech/Masters in (Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing) with minimum 4-6 Years of relevant Experience Strong Product Development and Design experience in Mechanical design with hands-on experience with capital equipment - Machine Tools, Special Purpose Machines, Complex assemblies of Electro Mechanical Systems Have relevant years and project experience with Cost-out as one of the primary objective Demonstrated knowledge in alternate manufacturing processes exhibiting the DFm practices Selection of materials and OEM components like fasteners, valves, gauges, fittings etc. Excellent written, verbal, and business presentation skills Strong Knowledge in GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis & Interference calculation Proficient in 3D Modelling, Assembly and Detailing using any CAD packages, preferably CREO Excellence in communication and relationship building capabilities within and outside the team, and collaborate to identify and execute Cost savings opportunities Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and experience on Semiconductor equipment and its Sub-systems like chambers, vacuum systems, gas delivery, plasma and/or thermal reactors is a plus Handled complex BOM structure comprising multi-commodity parent-child compositions Exposure to Project Management TRIZ, Six sigma certification -DFSS/DMAIC or Experience with Lean Design is an added skill Our Commitment We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
