New Mechanical Engineer position now available with a forward-thinking company at the forefront of designing efficient, sustainable mechanical systems for commercial buildings. If you have experience delivering high-quality, energy-efficient HVAC and plumbing solutions that meet the needs of clients and projects- we want to hear from you!

 

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC and/or plumbing systems for commercial buildings, you will design, develop, and implement innovative mechanical systems that ensure comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. You’ll collaborate internally with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver solutions that meet project goals while adhering to budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements.

 

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

 

  • Design & Development: Create detailed designs for HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, energy codes, and project specifications
  • Project Management: Lead the mechanical design phase of projects from concept to completion, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Technical Expertise: Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing to optimize energy efficiency and system performance
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to align mechanical designs with overall project objectives, ensuring seamless integration with other building systems
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, review submittals, and oversee system commissioning to ensure installation meets design intent and quality standards

 

Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC or plumbing system design for commercial buildings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design and documentation software
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and energy regulations (ASHRAE, LEED, etc.)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and project management abilities
  • PE license
