Job Summary

• Design laser workstation systems from concept to final checkout plus documentation
• Interact with Project Managers and Customer
• Work cross functionally with Electrical/Software Engineers, Purchasing, and Manufacturing Technicians.

Job Function

• Design laser workstation systems with welded bases, sheet metal Enclosures, multi axial motion systems and use of vision systems (camera based) and lighting.
• Proficient in Tool design (single and multiple part fixturing)
• Machined component design
• Tolerance stack analysis and GD&T per ASME Y14.5
• Proficient in the use of Cad Design (SolidWorks)
• Work closely with Project Managers to design the workstations to meet contractual requirements.
• Need to be very creative while working with different areas of laser workstation equipment
• Need to have very good communication skills (written and oral)

• Optics and Vision design
• Structural and dynamic analysis
• Experience in using Cad Management (Solidworks EPDM)
• Small part manipulation, alignment, and automation
