The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for mechanical design of system components, standard and custom machine design. This includes responsibility for master layout and all aspects of the mechanical design, working with and coordinating other mechanical engineers on project, controls, and software engineers to make sure the design meets performance, budget, and time line requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for mechanical design of systems from concept through acceptance testing.

  • Responsible for master layout and all aspects of the mechanical design, working with and coordinating other mechanical engineers on project, controls, and software engineers to make sure the design meets performance, budget, and time line requirements.

  • Works closely with entire Mechanical Engineering department.

  • Cooperate closely with all other departments (Controls, Software, Purchasing, Fabrication, Applications, and Service).

  • Help generate technical concepts, layouts, technical calculations and cost calculations.

  • Makes customer site visits as necessary to help solve field issues.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or related field and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment that involved dynamic mechanical system design experience preferably in the packaging automation industry. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Travel up to 10% may be required.

Demonstrated skill in machine design using Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling software.

High awareness of client satisfaction level and client needs is a must.
