The Impact You’ll MakeAs a Mechanical Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.What You’ll Do Own full life cycle of electro-mechanical systems such as power distribution system from concept to productization including conceptualization, designing, CAD modeling, development, and test/validation. Designs components using sheet metal with a good knowledge on sheet metal fabrication process, plastic welding and CNC machining Ensure documentation aligns with IEC, NEC & SEMI standards, and industry best practices for geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Conduct detailed analysis including structural (static and dynamic load), finite element analysis (FEA), thermal, heat transfer, stress, vibrations Implement DFx principles for optimized design during the product development Develop and conduct feasibility studies and test plans to characterize and validate design performance. Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations to clearly communicate design intent, evaluation, and validation to a diverse audience in design reviews. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure solutions can be manufactured with high-quality, cost-optimized, and to requirements. Provide key deliverables including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, and design review presentations. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior engineers. Who We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent experience. Excellent communication, both written and verbal, and technical presentation skills. Highly proficient in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, ProE, SolidWorks, and others. Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
