COMPANY:

Raptor Power Systems of PowerSpec Inc. is a manufacturing corporation of custom power distribution equipment and uninterruptable power supplies, with locations in Illinois and New Jersey, for over 20 years. Raptor Power Systems' products are designed, manufactured, and shipped within the United States, and is actively looking to grow its Team with Mechanical Engineers skilled in CAD Design.

JOB TITLE:

Mechanical Engineer, CAD

-JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:

-Create manufacturing drawings and customer drawings using SolidWorks.

-Work with internal Purchasing Team and external Suppliers regularly and closely to ensure quotes, purchase orders, and end products of custom chassis and related custom parts meet drawing design specifications.

-Ensure company's in-house drawing library is updated to reflect revisions and standards are consistent.

-Provide support during build process and assist in solutions where mechanical problems arise.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree of Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

-0-2 years of relevant experience.

-Proficient in SolidWorks.

-Skilled in creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings for sheet metal fabrication.

-Able to demonstrate aptitude for mechanical design and strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.

-Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

, NOT REQUIRED:

-Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes, such as 2D layout and maximizing sheet yield.

-Familiar with laser and press brake programming (AP100 or ABE or similar)

JOB TYPE:

• Full-Time, In-Person

SALARY:

• Salary is negotiable based on candidate's relevant experience learned through application and interview process.

• Monday through Friday, Daytime Office Hours (can be determined based on candidate's needs/requests in interview process).
