Job Description





The CMMI-Examination Design Program team is looking to add to our team responsible for developing precision motion and data acquisition systems for examining spent nuclear fuel, materials specimens, and similar applications - often to be used in uniquely-challenging underwater and irradiated environments. Your specific tasks will include research and development of novel technologies, proof of principle testing, mechanical design and analysis, integration with motion control elements, testing, and authoring end-user documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, test sponsors, and system end-users.





Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill





Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; orSRE qualified.

Pay Range





$76,400.00 - $(phone number removed) annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
