Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Lifts\n\nLocation: Portsmouth. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role\n\nSalary: Up to £44,300 commensurate on skills and experience \n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nConduct thorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis of lifts, lifting appliances and associated systems\n\nOperate safe systems of work that comply with the company SHE procedures at all times\n\nApply your knowledge, skills, and experience in order to resolve issues and faults associated with the operation and performance of systems\n\nWork with technical autonomy and provide advice and guidance to other technical staff\n\nProvide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers\n\nBe able to engage with customers and authorities in writing, by telephone or face to face to discuss technical issues and problems\n\nSupport the wider Teams in their activities to maintain utilisation and produce technical detailed reports\n\nYour skills and experiences:\n\nThorough examinations, maintenance, commissioning, and defect diagnosis of Marine Lifts and lifting appliances\n\nTechnical knowledge and broad experience of Mechanical Systems, specifically lifting appliances and lifts, their maintenance, relevant legislation, and inspection requirements\n\nDemonstrable experience of maintenance and inspection of Marine Lift Systems and a keenness to keep abreast of technological initiatives and updates\n\nAble to carry out scheduled maintenance, thorough examinations, setting to work, fault diagnosis and defect rectification\n\nQualified to NVQ level 3 & 4 to support inspection and maintenance activities\n\nBenefits: \n\nYou’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
