Responsibilities What your day will look likeProject Management & DesignManagement of mechanical engineering projects for public and private clients across the companyLeadership and technical direction of multidisciplinary project teamsBusiness DevelopmentDevelopment of public and private sector client relationships and new business opportunitiesBusiness travel to other Dillon offices upon requestLearning & DevelopmentA commitment to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of more junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContributions to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Qualifications What you will need to succeedEducationA degree in mechanical engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in Manitoba or eligible to be licensed within six monthsA minimum of 15 years’ of relevant work experience Experience ExperienceExpert knowledge of industrial and building processes including applicable codes and standardsStrong working knowledge in building plumbing, drainage, service piping systems, heating, ventilating and air conditioning design, and energy calculations using proprietary software packagesExperience in process pumping and piping systems, industrial ventilation, exhaust systems and fire protectionDemonstrated abilities in direct digital control systemsDevelopment of design team leadership with the ability to create and manage design budgets, client deliverables and project schedulesExperience in:the consulting environment beneficialwater and wastewater treatment projectsheavy industrial including automotive, manufacturing projectsbuilding and facilities for government, real estate and resource projectsDemonstrated ability to develop proposalsDemonstrated ability to prepare capital construction cost estimatesStrong technical report and specification writing skillsWhy choose DillonDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
