Mechanical Engineer (Project Engineer)

Your future team: You will join a core team of Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers in Civil Section business unit. In addition to your colleagues in your competence area, you will be part of experienced project group in your day-to-day work. What you will be doing: We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will take the Civil M (Mechanical) role to coordinate and manage mechanical design and construction activities in Civil M area in relation to the new investment projects in Rockwool Group. It’s his or her responsibility to represent Rockwool Group Technology in close coordination with multiple stakeholders and teams located in different countries. Analytical thinking, solid construction experience, and excellent communication skills will be essential for the Mechanical Engineer role described. The job location is in Rockwool Office in Poznań, Poland, though extensive travel within and outside Poland should be expected.More specifically, your role will involve: Ensuring that equipment within the factory with a demand for utilities are supplied where required, including main utility supply strategy, tank requirements and installations, pump supply, dimensioning, and redundancy (back-up supply) considerationsLeading and executing design and construction activities within the scope area described belowResponsibility for Civil M project scope related quality, budget, time schedule, certification, approvals, and health & safety checksGathering requirements from process related equipment – in close cooperation with process engineersSupporting civil design consultants and all design-related activities, including permits in coordination with factory and process teams related to area of scopeSupporting design specifications and tender documents within area of scopeManaging main and sub-contractors within area of scopeProviding input and follow-up time schedule for mechanical activities in accordance with Overall Project Master PlanImplementation of health & safety set-up and daily application through Site Safety SupervisorCoordination with Factory organization during design and site activities within area of scopeOn-site coordination with other responsible engineersClear communication to core team and stakeholders Proactiveness in all the responsibilities described aboveScope: Compressed airWaterIndustrial waterMachine cooling water (process related)Water – sanitary installationsPotable water (drinking water)Water treatment (reverse osmosis plants)Fire water supply – living up to FLPM (Fire and Loss Preventive Manual – Rockwool Group obligatory policy) and local regulation where applicableRain water collection, treatment and reuse (soil, surface, and ground water protection MMRs – Minimum Mandatory Requirement Rockwool Group policies)Erosion and Sedimentation – storm water management (coordination with entrepreneur)Drainage and sewageOxygen and CO2Natural GasBuilding heat (gas)Process equippemnt supplyHVAC, (Heating, Ventilation, A/C)Firefighting – with use of oxygen suppression systemsCranes, hoists and other special partsWhat you bring: 5+ years of work experienceBachelor’s degree within Mechanical Engineering (Environmental Engineering or similar preferred)Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Project Management is preferredWritten and spoken professional business EnglishProject execution record in large scale projects is preferredWorking experience with multinational teams and stakeholders is an asset Industrial project experience is preferredFamiliarity with Prince 2 is preferredDriver licensePolish supervision certificate is not requiredWhat we offer: By joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company.
