American Ingenuity is an engineering firm that offers a wide variety of engineering services for the petrochemical and agribusiness, throughout the US and Canada. Our projects have included process equipment, structural steel, miscellaneous steel, lifting devices, tanks, foundations, piping, and specialty construction equipment.

American Ingenuity is also the engineering branch of the Design Build Fabricator, Point Solitude Manufacturing Co. Together we furnish detailed engineering and related equipment and structures on projects that have shipped throughout North America.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In general, you will be responsible for producing high quality engineering analysis related to fixed equipment, lifting devices, and piping. You will work closely with other engineers, draftsman, and customers to develop the deliverables package and ensure the project requirements are being met. You will take direction from the company’s Lead Engineer for tasking.

Your work in the company shall support the goal of American Ingenuity as being a strong leader in technical knowhow and professionalism related to our niche in the industry.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform engineering calculations and develop reports to submit to customers
• Check drawings related to engineering that you perform
• Adhere to company work processes and workflows in order to produce high quality and efficiency

REQUIRED KNOWLDEGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS

• ASME Pressure Vessel Design
• API 650 & API 620 Tanks Design
• Piping Design and other Plant Fixed Equipment
• Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited University
• 5 years minimum engineering experience in Petrochemical Industry
• Must be able to produce high quality design sketches to communicate engineering information

• Must be able to perform in fast paced work environment with a mix of short term and long term projects.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• Finite Element Analysis
• 10 years industry experience
• Hands-on fabrication or construction experience
• Engineering role at a Pressure Vessel Fabrication Shop
