You will be responsible for: Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems; Assist the Engineering Team in the design and improvement of mechanical equipment; Collect, analyse data and prepare diagrams and drawings; Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to in day-to-day tasks and finished work are within specifications, regulations and safety standards; Estimate material costs, quantities and machine requirements; Document maintenance activities and report any issues to supervisors; Organise, supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant; Oversee fitters to ensure mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies are installed as per plans and designs; Perform and direct field tests; Select appropriate tools and equipment for specific tasks for projects; Undertake special projects as instructed by the Department Supervisor or Company Directors; Work both in a team environment and without supervision; Collaborating with other team members to optimise plant efficiency. To be considered you will need a qualification relevant to being a Mechanical Technician and at least two years of relevant post qualification employment experience OR at least 3 years of relevant employment experience as a Mechanical Technician. A remuneration package between $82,000 - $85,000 will be offered to the successful candidate. This is a full time position, an immediate start is available.
