Mechanical Estimator – Renewables\n\n£40,000 - £50,000\n\nLeeds\n\nA fantastic opportunity has become available for a experienced Mechanical Estimator with a construction and/or a fit-out background to join a well-established, dynamic and growing business. My client have been trading for over 10 years and provides turnkey solutions for the construction and fit out sectors.\n\nThey have become experts in delivering renewable energy projects for both end user clients and contractors alike and have unrivalled experience of the construction sector and delivering within this environment.\n\nThey have successfully delivered PV, Car Port, Solar Thermal, Wind Turbine, Heat Pump, CHP, EV Charging, Infrastructure and Microgrid projects across the UK using their in-house engineers.\n\nThe Duties\n\n * Analyse project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.\n\n * Collaborate with architects, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimating.\n\n * Review and assess subcontractor quotes to determine their accuracy and competitiveness.\n\n * Prepare detailed and comprehensive bid packages.\n\n * Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs.\n\n * Maintain a database of prices for materials, equipment, and labour.\n\n * Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.\n\nThe Requirements\n\n * Mechanical experience is essential.\n\n * experience in renewables projects.\n\n * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.\n\n * Proficient in estimating software and tools.\n\n * Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.\n\n * Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure
