Manpower Engineering are working in partnership with Babcock International to recruit Mechanical Fitters to work on the Type 31 Frigate project in Rosyth

The role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where no two days will be the same.

Day to day, you’ll work on a wide variety of mechanical systems and equipment relating to type 31 Frigates.

• Working to engineering drawings and technical specifications, you will install and align new equipment and carry out system and equipment functional tests and surveys.

If you can bring technical skills and a safe working attitude, then we can offer you the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting engineering projects this country has to offer.

What do I need

• You will need to be apprentice trained in a Mechanical discipline.
• You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instruction
• You will be confident in the use of general workshop machinery specific to Mechanical Fitter

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
