Mechanical Fitter - Water Industry Projects - Field Service Role - upto £40,000 basic + Overtime - 32 Days Holiday - Progression
J3A Recruitment are proud to be working with a highly innovative and successful Mechanical & Process Engineer business who continue to succeed and grow their group within the water sector.
Due to a healthy pipeline of work through key framework partners, they're looking to build their mechanical division and are looking to employ further Mechanical Fitters / Service Engieners to help with the demand.
For the right people, they can find themselves working on some fantastic projects around the UK and play a key role in the delivery of mechanical projects.
The role of Mechanical Fitter
* Undertake Mechanical Installation of plant & equipment.
* Carry out installation of equipment spares.
* Work closely with site managers on M&E installations works across various projects.
* Support the project delivery team in the effective delivery and installation of projects on site during installation and commissioning phases.
* Support the delivery team with quality control during fabrication and assembly phases of the project and carry out inspection visits to supplier and subcontractor premises as required. .
* Ensure adherence to Risk Assessments, Method Statements and permits to work.
* Liaising with subcontractors / clients as required by the contract.
The ideal Mechanical Fitter
* Previous experience in the Water Industry is highly beneficial
* Trained to NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar (can be flexible, experience is the key!)
* Appropriate CSCS card
* Previous experience working in a Field Service role as the work is spread around various areas of the country
* Hands on experience with equipment like; pumps, motors, blowers, valves, mixers, vessels, chem dosing equipment would be highly advantageous
* Happy and able to carry out work both in the workshop and on site. Split of 50/50 from workshop to site work
