Mechanical Fitter

Our client based in Coventry are currently recruiting for Mechanical fitter. This is a permanent role working within their workshop.



As a Mechanical Fitter, you must have a strong background within the building and assembling of special purpose machinery. You must be able to read and understand engineering drawings & schematics. Previous experience of mechanical build, building of sub-assemblies is essential for this role.



A large chunk of the job will be modifying machine tools.



Essential Requirements:



* Building & assembling special purpose machinery, machine tools



* Mechanical Sub-assembly



* Precision fitting & general assembly



* Cutting metal, marking, drilling & tapping



* Manual machining



* Ability to work to tight very tight tolerances



* Knowledge of robotics & automation will be an added advantage l



* Must be able to read engineering drawings and schematics



* Previous experience of system build



Days - 39 hr week



Mon - Thurs (7:30am - 4:30pm) Friday (7:30am - 12:30pm)
