Mechanical Fitter
Suitable candidates will ideally have marine and/or other heavy industry experience and must be Apprenticeship/NVQ Level or equivalent qualified.
Due to the nature of the contract you must be eligible for MOD Security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing mechanical fitting tasks on marine vessels and related equipment
Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems
Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and quality standards
Collaborating with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Utilising necessary tools and equipment for mechanical fitting tasks
Reporting any issues or defects to supervisors
Maintaining accurate records of work performed
Job Requirements:
Mechanical fitting experience in marine, offshore, or oil & gas sectors would be preffered.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
Eligibility for security clearance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Willingness to work away from home if required (39+ miles from Portsmouth)
