Mechanical Fitters (Fab)

I am currently working with a company who has 50 years of experience working in the Water sector and are looking for a Mechanical Site Fitters.

Site-based role, mostly working in the Midlands and South of England. Regional and nationwide travel will be required, with regular overnight stays.

Responsibilities



Carrying out on-site mechanical installation works associated a range of scraper bridges and other fabricated products for wastewater and water treatment plants. These are heavy fabricated steel structures and experience in this type of work is essential.

Working with various types of pipework – stainless, ductile, mild steel, etc.

Completing repairs, upgrades and refurbishment works to existing installed systems. 

Experience



Engineering or similar qualification, ideally to City & Guilds / HNC or equivalent level.

Experience in a similar role within the utilities sector and/or M&E engineering environment.

Candidates should have experience in steelwork assembly, welding and site mechanical works.

Demonstrable training/qualifications in welding, steel fixing or similar.

Experience of structural steelwork and steel product installation would be an advantage 

Package



£25,000 - £35,000 negotiable according to skills and experience.
