PrideStaff is seeking coachable entry-level Mechanical Assemblers for a Motorsports Manufacturing Company in Concord, NC. The Production and Quality Detailer will assemble, test, and pack manufactured products used in professional racing including road, oval, drag aircraft, desert, and marine. Location: Concord, NC 28027

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: $14-16/hr.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Hose Assembler with a strong emphasis on electrical ability and quality control (QC) experience to join our automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing mechanical hoses, as well as performing electrical connections and quality checks to ensure product reliability and performance in automotive systems. This role requires an understanding of both mechanical assembly and electrical components, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical hoses for automotive systems according to blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
  • Perform electrical assembly tasks, including wiring and installing electrical components that interface with hoses in automotive systems (e.g., sensors, actuators, and connectors).
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure hoses meet internal and industry standards, performing both visual inspections and functional tests (e.g., pressure testing, leakage checks).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both the mechanical and electrical aspects of hose assemblies.
  • Perform electrical tests to ensure all connections are functioning correctly, utilizing tools such as multimeters, testers, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Monitor and track product quality throughout the assembly process, maintaining strict adherence to quality guidelines and product specifications.
  • Assemble and test hose components for durability, leakage, and electrical integrity to ensure their performance in automotive environments.
  • Document production results, including assembly steps, electrical testing outcomes, and QC findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of defects and assist in root cause analysis for quality issues, working closely with engineering teams to improve product design and assembly processes.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other departments to maintain production schedules and ensure high-quality standards.
  • Ensure all assembly work is performed in a safe environment, adhering to safety protocols and reporting any safety hazards or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical or mechanical assembly, automotive technology, or a related field .
  • Previous experience in mechanical hose assembly and/or electrical assembly within an automotive or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, including wiring, connectors, sensors, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in quality control (QC) processes, including visual inspections, functional testing, and defect tracking.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, crimping machines, and electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, continuity testers, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards in both mechanical and electrical components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, collaborating with others to meet production deadlines while ensuring quality standards are met.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
