Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - FM Service Provider - City of London  - Temporary ongoing  - £24.00 per hour - Start ASAP

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Central London. CBW is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial building located in Central London. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with a small maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out mechanical, electrical and fabric PPM & reactive maintenance.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm

Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical

\n

• You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)

\n

• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance

\n

• An understanding of the following is essential: L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units

\n

• Multi-skilled

\n

• Good communication skills

\n

• Excellent customer skills

\n

 

Mechanical duties

\n
• HIUs

\n

• Underfloor heating

\n

• AHUs/FCUs – filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
  
  \n

\n

• Pumps – PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
  
  \n

\n

• Motors – PPMs (re-winds, overhauls)
  
  \n

\n

• Water treatment – dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
  
  \n

\n

• Water pressurization units
  
  \n

\n

• Chlorifiers – annual inspection, de-scaling
  
  \n

\n

• Steam Plant
  
  \n

\n

• Condensers, Condenser Returns
  
  \n

\n

• Cooling towers
  
  \n

\n

• Softeners
  
  \n

\n

• Humidifiers
  
  \n

\n

• Hydraulics
  
  \n

\n

• Pneumatics
  
  \n

\n

• Boilers – re-sets
  
  \n

\n

• Chillers – re-sets, 1st Line faults
  
  \n

\n

• Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
