Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - CHP/Pumps/Engines\n\nBasic Salary up to £39,500 (Fully Employed) + Benefits + Overtime and Call out \n\nLocation - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire\n\nWe currently have a superb opportunity for an experienced Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join one of our clients who are a leading provider of services to the CHP (Combined Heat and Power), Power and District Energy sector. \n\nThe position is full time, fully employed Monday to Friday (40 hour week) + call out rota/overtime (worth roughly £4k-£5k additional income per annum). \n\nJob Summary:\n\nSite based in Milton Keynes, your main responsibility will be to operate and maintain mechanical plant and equipment within CHP energy centres and network customers' premises.

\nService, diagnose faults and repair a wide range of mechanical plant with particular emphasis on internal combustion engines, generators, and CHP units.\nMechanical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance of domestic and commercial HIU's\nMonitoring of performance and status, early diagnosis of faults and working to PPM lists to maximise operating efficiency, availability, and asset life, with utilisation of CMMS and reporting systems.Key Skills Required:\n\nQualified and experienced mechanical maintenance engineer, holding relevant mechanical qualifications to City & Guilds or NVQ standard, relevant apprenticeship / qualification in mechanical engineering. \nCHP (combined heat & power) or generator experience desired. \nExperience in maintenance & repair for commercial pumps, pipework, motors & valves.\nExperience of working with PLC/SCADA systems desired.\nRoyal Navy / Marine Engineering background considered.
