Mobile Mechanical Technician, Facilities Company, Edinburgh - Up To £38,000\n\n A new opportunity for a Mobile Mechanical Technician to join a mobile facilities team. This role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring all mechanical systems are operating efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.\n\n Hours of work:\n\n Monday - Friday 08.00 - 17.00 \n\n Duties & Responsibilities: \nPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks within agreed timescales.\nConduct daily checks and adjustments to keep equipment properly maintained and functioning optimally.\nRespond promptly to reactive call-outs, carrying out repairs, servicing, and installations to meet client requirements.\nAccurately diagnose faults and ensure timely resolution, escalating issues where necessary.\nReport problems, incidents, and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel and provide a friendly, professional service when handling client enquiries and complaints.\nCommunicate effectively, make sound decisions, and take a flexible approach to working hours, including participation in an on-call rota.\nProvide basic supervision and quality checks for subcontractors, ensuring work meets company and client standards.\nConduct inductions for subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.\nAdhere to health & safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring all work is carried out safely.Key Skills & Experience:\nProven experience in a mechanical maintenance role (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, pumps, or general building services).\nStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in mechanical systems.\nAbility to work independently and efficiently across multiple locations.\nExcellent communication and customer service skills.\nStrong awareness of health & safety procedures and risk assessments.\nExperience supervising subcontractors or apprentices is desirable.\nFull UK driving license (essential).Benefits:\nCompetitive salary and overtime opportunities.\nCompany van and tools provided.\nPension scheme and holiday entitlement.\nTraining and career development opportunities
