Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer



Location: Lockerbie, Scotland



Salary: £39-45K + overtime, commensurate with experience



Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's existing team, on-site in Lockerbie. The position reports to the Engineering Supervisor.



Candidates must be willing to work to an alternating shift / rota system consisting of 4 on / 4 off, day shift & night shift.



Duties & responsibilities



H&S is adhered to

To undertake PPM on basic mechanical systems

To cover all maintenance of mechanical systems

To complete PPM in line with agreements

To undertake installation works such as improvements to the mill

To respond to break downs requests, providing a professional & timely service

To support the other members of the maintenance team between departmentsSkills required



Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in mechanical engineering or minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical fitting.

A good team player, but also able to work alone

Must be presentable & reliable

Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally & externally
