Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.

• Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.

• Train and support production staff on processes and equipment.

• Lead and support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Ensure production procedures efficiently utilize materials, methods, and personnel.

• Consult with manufacturing to resolve questions or misunderstandings.

• Schedule, complete, and document routine maintenance on applicable manufacturing and test equipment.

• Assist with quality control to ensure the correctness of the product.

• Diagnose root cause analysis of manufacturing defects and coordinate corrective actions.

• Perform cost/benefit analysis to determine opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

• Broad knowledge of OSHA and EPA statutes.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Must climb into, onto, and out of tanks, climb ladders or scaffold.

• Basic Solid Works experience.

Education & Experience

• Technical or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar

• 1-2 years relevant experience or equivalent education
