We are seeking a Mechanical Package Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, supporting transformative projects in sulphate removal technology. This role is ideal for experienced Mechanical Engineers with expertise in specifying capital equipment. Candidates with backgrounds in Rotating Equipment, Pressure Vessel Packages, or Mechanical Packages (e.g., dosing sets, balance of plant) are particularly encouraged to apply. In some organizations, this role may also be referred to as Project Engineer.








Key Responsibilities


  • Creating Technical Requisitions/Datasheets

  • Defining SDRL

  • Evaluating Bids

  • Preparing Technical Bid Tabs

  • Conducting Clarifications

  • Assisting in order placement

  • Attendance at client and vendor KOM’s, progress, inspections, HAZOP meetings etc.

  • Managing vendor(s)/vendor(s) docs

  • Liaising/progressing vendor(s)

  • Equipment Inspections (if required)

  • Project reporting

  • All aspects of package engineering

  • Manhour forecasting (as required)

  • Client liaison on technical and commercial aspects of the project

  • Supporting other engineering staff on technical issues

  • Providing technical content review and participating in tenders for the Upstream Offshore Water Treatment Systems market and ensuring they are prepared in a timely manner, in accordance with Company procedures and defined by the go/no go decision for a bid









Requirements



  • Education: MEng or equivalent work experience in an engineering discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in oil and gas or water treatment industries, with a proven track record in project delivery.



Mechanical Engineering Expertise:



  • Experience specifying capital equipment, such as:

  • Rotating equipment.

  • Pressure vessels.

  • Dosing sets and balance of plant.

  • Broad capabilities in handling multiple types of mechanical packages are advantageous.



Skills:



  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and Adobe Acrobat.
