About the Job: As a Mechanical Pressure Vessel Engineer, you will lead the mechanical design of equipment frameworks and pipe support structures. You'll collaborate with project teams, clients, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and project specifications. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Perform mechanical design for tanks and pressure vessels, ensuring timely submission of calculations, reports, and drawings in line with project requirements. Prepare design inputs for mechanical designers and review mechanical engineering deliverables, including general arrangement and detail drawings. Ensure equipment meets design codes, standards, project specifications, and good engineering practices. Resolve design issues with clients, procurement, suppliers, and other project stakeholders. Manage customer comments, technical clarifications, and interface with clients regarding design-related issues. Participate in project meetings, including kick-off, progress, and design reviews. Work according to company procedures and standards to ensure high-quality design deliverables. Skills & Experience Required: Experience as a mechanical engineer working on complex systems, including tanks and pressure vessels. Strong knowledge of design codes such as ASME VIII DIV.1 and PD5500. Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in steel structures. Experience in the oil & gas or chemicals/petrochemicals industry. Knowledge of design software such as Compress, PV Elite, StaadPro, and Caesar. Familiarity with welding techniques and related documentation. Experience with GRP piping design and connection design software (e.g., Limcon) would be an advantage. Experience preparing and reviewing calculation notes and design reports. Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently. Fluent in English, with strong report-writing abilities.
