Job Description
Client: Working throughout several sectors including commercial, residential, education, the business has seen a significant amount of growth in the last 5 Years. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business expects 2025 to be a similar period of growth. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to £160M, consequently they are looking to expand their operations team.
Despite their size, my client are a family owned and run business and this is a trait they pride themselves on with well over 80% of their clients using them on multiple occasions because of the nature of the business.\n\nRole: Mechanical Project Engineer - Central London - £350-£400 per day (CIS)\n\nRole/Responsibilities:\n\n * Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications\n\n * Assist with management of design stage\n\n * Procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant\n\n * Investigate Value Engineering\n\n * Assist with preparation of Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.\n\n * Coordination and management of direct labor\n\n * Instruct and coordinate site managers\n\n * Progress reporting\n\n * Overseeing commissioning and testing\n\n * Working with Quantity Surveyor on Commercial Accounts\n\n * Preparation of OMs for final project handover\n\nThe ideal candidate:\n\n * Experience delivering major shell and core projects\n\n * Experience managing projects to a minimum of £10m M&E value\n\n * A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role\n\n * Must be technically astute and a good people manager
