Polypack, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical SolidWorks Designer for its Pinellas Park, Florida manufacturing plant.
We are seeking candidates skilled with SolidWorks design, who are fast and accurate in creating SolidWorks Parts/Assemblies and function effectively in a team-based environment. Designers will work closely with Lead Engineers to create, modify, and update 3D SolidWorks models and assemblies and work with Manufacturing to ensure parts may be produced correctly.
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- SolidWorks experience, with a working knowledge of configurations and properties
- Detail oriented as well as swift in creating accurate 3D Models
- Understanding of SolidWorks PDM and state-workflow
- Knowledge of making 2D mechanical detailed drawings for manufacturing
- US or Permanent
The primary duties of this position are:
- Design and detail of machinery and machine componentry that is cost-effective, user-friendly, robust, and serviceable
- Release parts and designs that comply with company standards and that meet internal schedules
- Maintain accurate and detailed 3D Solid Works representation of all changes made to released machinery
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
