Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the RoleJoin a dynamic Global Sourcing team dedicated to Knowledge Driven Sourcing—developing optimal solutions through expertise in engineering design, manufacturing processes, cost modeling, and quality. As a Global Sourcing Specialist, you’ll lead strategic sourcing initiatives, develop supply chain strategies, and build strong supplier partnerships to drive cost savings and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global strategic sourcing initiatives with a focus on cost reduction and supply chain optimization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive Asia supply chain strategies targeting material cost reductions.
- Partner with Asian sourcing teams to identify and implement optimal global sourcing solutions.
- Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new supply chain opportunities.
- Oversee supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives while monitoring market dynamics to capitalize on savings opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product Development, Operations) to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Define and track supplier performance through KPIs, address performance issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to building a high-performing procurement team through coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (BSME/BSIE ) or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in roles such as Supplier Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Sourcing, or Castings Process Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes related to machined materials, ferrous castings, fabrication, and welding.
- Industry experience in machine building, construction equipment, white goods, or automotive.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
Skills
- Proven ability to lead global sourcing initiatives with measurable cost-saving outcomes.
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and market analysis skills.
- Familiarity with supplier performance metrics and a track record of driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-Time | Salary: $85,000–$105,000 + 7% discretionary bonus (based on company performance)
