We are in search of an experienced Mechanical Staff Engineer to join a leading engineering services firm. The ideal candidate should possess a self-driven and detail-oriented approach, thriving on taking ownership, adapting swiftly to challenges, and solving problems.

Location: Hybrid, based in Wilkes-Barre or Bethlehem, PA.
Salary: $85k-$105k/year

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and comprehend client needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
• Research and analyze customer design parameters, specifications, manuals, and other data to assess the feasibility and maintenance requirements of designs and/or applications.
• Execute and document mechanical design tasks for significant HVAC, plumbing, and process mechanical projects.
• Utilize 3D modeling software to create design models and construction drawings.
• Develop engineering drawings, sketches, Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Control Diagrams in electronic or manual formats.
• Provide construction administration services, including reviewing shop drawings, attending meetings, conducting field inspections, overseeing system startup, and addressing debugging.
• Analyze mechanical systems and conduct functional component criticality assessments.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team, technical leaders, and project manager to integrate design information and client standards into construction documents.
• Assist the Engineer of Record in the selection and design process of system components.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study.
• Practical knowledge of fans, pumps, piping, valves, HVAC, and control devices and systems.
• Strong writing, organization, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Working knowledge of load calculation and energy modeling software is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit is required.
