Mechanical Supervisor

NCS Support Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for 2 successful Mechanical Supervisors/Site Foremen to join a North East based mechanical business. They are a leading company in their field providing specialist services supporting the installation, maintenance and refurbishment of commercial projects within the Tyne & Wear Region.

Foremen/Supervisors are wholly responsible for control and administration of day-to-day site activities, maintaining good working relations with the main contractors, subcontractors and site personnel whilst maintaining open communication with the Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

* Liaise with client site team and develop relationships to encourage repeat business

* Be conscious of project profitability

* Responsible for quality of materials for return purposes

* Comply with company site safety file

* Comply with site specific safety requirements

* Arrange for inductions of all site employees and subcontractors

* Arrange for the necessary access and general plant hire

* Supervision of all company and subcontract operatives

* Call off materials

* Attend daily review meetings

* Attend weekly progress meetings

* Monitor and report against construction programme

* Ensure all functions are carried out on site in accordance with company Quality Assurance procedures

* Report any variations and instructions

* Complete and submit weekly timesheets

* Ensure that all PPE and safety equipment is available and in good working order for all employees and subcontractors as required

* Regularly maintain and update as installed drawings

* Complete Daily site Diaries

* Complete administration tasks on company QA system

* Ensure every effort towards Zero defects at completion via continuous snagging

* Completion of test sheets

* Control of site stock and site containers

* Responsible for monitoring site personnel's well-being, both physical and mental

* Uphold company brand image

Requirements

* Hold Site Engineers CSCS card or similar industry qualifications membership to industry institutes

* Hold relevant Health and Safety certificate to suit site requirements

* Hold SSSTS/SMSTS qualification

This position is to start as soon as possible, ideally in a permanent role although the client will look at contract based employment per project if suitable.

38hours as standard, to include premium rates for hours worked after this and weekends as and when the site dictates.

Salary

£20.38 per hour - standard 38 hours and 1 additional hour per working day at Premium 1 for supervisory responsibility
