Mechanical Supervisor

We are recruiting on behalf of ConocoPhillips - one of the world’s largest independent exploration and production companies, based on proved reserves and production of liquids and natural gas.
 
ConocoPhillips Norsea Terminal, located in Teesside at the mouth of the river Tees, is looking to add a Mechanical Supervisor to their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader and you will supervise a team of Mechanical technicians carrying out preventative, corrective maintenance and project work (includes Overhauls) on Mechanical equipment.
 
Responsibilities

• Lead the Mechanical Maintenance Function and be responsible for the maintenance of Mechanical equipment
• Ensure maintenance activities are adequately communicated to the relevant technicians and the appropriate level of risk assessment is completed and control measures implemented
• Ensure compliance with the site ISSOW system, e.g. timely submission of part A Permit to Work requests with associated risk assessments
• Complete repairs and maintenance activities and diagnose physical cause of Mechanical equipment breakdown / failure and propose / complete repairs to the site standards and engage technical resources as needed to support operations
• Provide, monitor & drive improvements against appropriate KPI’s
• Assist in the planning and execution of shutdowns and major outages/turnarounds
• Creation of Task Risk Assessment Checklist (TRAC)
• Supervise the Mechanical Technicians
• Establishing and facilitating teamwork and knowledge transfer between the area and specialist groups

 
Experience & Qualifications

• Hold a minimum ONC or NVQ 3 in relevant discipline
• Have extensive experience in a maintenance role within the oil and gas industry
• Supervisor experience is essential
• Hold a Full UK driving licence and to drive company vehicles where appropriate
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership skills and supervisory competence
• Experience in the completion of Risk Assessments and ISSoW
