The Opportunity We are looking for an entry Level Mechanical Supervisor / Leading Hand to join our team working on the Mardi Water Treatment Plant. We are undertaking the design, development and construction for upgrades to the Mardi Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for the Central Coast Council Water and Sewer. The upgrades will provide increased capacity for safe drinking water to cater for the growth of the Central Coast region. This role would suit either an experienced Leading Hand ready to take the next step in their career, or someone in the early stages of their career as a Supervisor. Day to day you will; Work closely with our Project Manager and Senior Mechanical Supervisor to effectively manage all jobs under construction. Assist in managing multiple work fronts efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met. Promote and maintain safety procedures. Collaborate with the team to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Manage project resources, including direct labour ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget. Problem-solve technical issues within a team environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone ready to take on a Supervisor role, with mentoring and support provided to ensure your growth and success. What you’ll bring to the team Experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor with experience working on water infrastructure projects. Mechanical trade background Experience working in the region, with understanding of the central coast trade base and trade rates. A strong work ethic and dedication to performing your job to the best of your ability, and a drive to succeed. Ability to work autonomously and within a small, inclusive team. Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach. Willingness to learn and collaborate with others in a team environment. Why you should work with us.
